AS WE HAVE JUST CELEBRATED another new year, we welcome 2017 with open arms and say goodbye to 2016. Since many feel that 2016 was an awful year we have a lot to look forward to in 2017. From entertainment to booming technology advancements, we have a lot of hope and faith that 2017 will be a great year. Technology:

• Samsung’s Notebook Odyssey

Samsung is introducing its first gaming line of PCs, the Notebook Odyssey 15 and the Notebook Odyssey 17. It has been quite some time since we have seen Samsung target its gaming audience in a PC model. The Notebook Odyssey 15 has a 15.6 inch display while the Notebook Odyssey 17 has a 17.3 inch display. The 15 inch model weighs in at only 5.5 pounds which makes this laptop portable for transportation. The Notebook Odyssey looks exactly how you would picture a gaming PC to look, with a bold backlit icon on the back, decorative outline around the touch pad, and multicolored keyboard lights. The 15 inch comes equipped with graphics chip, Nvidia GeForce 1050 GPU, which is intended for full HD resolution and new games at high detail settings. If you are excited about Samsung’s new approach then you will be able to purchase the 15 inch Notebook Odyssey in February for $1,199. At this point in time, it remains unclear about when the 17 inch will be available.

• Nintendo Switch

Nintendo is introducing its next gaming console which is both a portable device and a home console. This new blend of tablet meets Game Boy, comes with portable controllers which are easily removable from the tablet based screen. The mini controllers give the gamer the traditional feel of at-home gaming when they’re out and about. The glory of this gaming system is that it can be used at home as well, like traditional gaming style, as the device can be attached to a dock which will be connected to a television set. The Nintendo Switch has been labeled one of the biggest reveals of the year for hardcore gamers, which is making this product so desirable. Nintendo will be releasing the Nintendo Switch in March of 2017 for $299.99.

• Microsoft’s Project Scorpio

Microsoft will be releasing the new Project Scorpio which is the new generation Xbox. This new console will trump all other gaming consoles thus far and is expected to be released Holiday 2017. Microsoft states that the Scorpio will have 6 teraflops of computational power and 320 GBs of memory bandwidth. Microsoft is aiming for uncompromising 4k UHD resolution gaming with Project Scorpio. This new device will be over 4.5 times more powerful than the Xbox One combining high-fidelity virtual reality experiences to the gamer. It is still unclear whether Microsoft will be providing its consumers with its own VR headset or connecting to third-party headsets. The device will be fully compatible with the Xbox One and will even share an operating system with it. Games on the Scorpio are said to look better and run smoother having advanced higher quality lighting, shadows and resolution. The Scorpio will also most likely be faster at navigating the the dashboard, running apps and multi-tasking. It has been said that the device will probably priced at $399.99.

• Apple Watch Series 3

The Apple Watch is the latest smash hit smartwatch ever produced, however there’s always opportunity to become more advanced. While the Apple Watch Series 2 improved on the Series 1 in a couple key areas, some are looking to the Series 3 to offer what they truly need to see. The two important aspects of advancement that Apple will be releasing within the new watch are; performance and battery life. The Apple Watch has never been a superior performer and it has dependably experienced battery life issues, so upgrades in those categories will unquestionably be important upgrades. Still, the Apple Watch Series 2 battery can, for the most part, keep going for at least 2 days — so if Apple is truly concentrating on battery life for the Series 3, it’s conceivable that it’s likewise presenting new components that could put a greater draw on the battery.

An adaption of the Disney fairy-tale about a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love comes alive on the big screen. Many are eagerly awaiting the March 17^th release of this production. This upcoming American romantic drama film is the second film in the Fifty Shades film series to be released. It is based on the novel by British author E. L. James and has become a popular hit for many viewers around the world. The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The film is scheduled to be released on February 10^th.

• The Lego Batman Movie

This upcoming 3D computer-animated, action-comedy, superhero film is a spin-off of the 2014 film, The Lego Movie. The film is produced by Warner Animation Group and directed by Chris McKay. The film will focus on the DC comics character Batman, and will take place in the same universe as the previous film. The film is scheduled to be released on February 10^th.
